The ABC’s of Natural Health Part 6
With so many natural health remedies and facts out there, we would need to make hundreds and hundreds of postings regarding natural health each week. So in order to touch on the basics we are going to run through the ABC’s of Natural Health. If you see a topic you would love to know more about, simply make a comment on the topic and one of the next blogs entries to appear will be related to that topic!
V. Vertigo. Feeling dizzy? Sit on your couch with your head tilted upwards as if you are looking at someone standing straight in front of you. Hold your neck in this position and then lay down on your left side for 30 seconds. Sit up for a few seconds and then lie on your right side for 30 seconds. This will help your vertigo disappear. Do this twice a day for 10 minutes at a time until your vertigo is gone.
W. Wounds. Looking to heal a nasty cut, scrape or burn? Use aloe vera gel twice a day. This can help increase your healing time by 33 percent. The active ingredient in aloe is called glucomannan, which is a very powerful anti-inflammatory agent. Glucomannan helps to grow new skin cells and collagen.
X. Xerosis. Looking to eliminate really, really dry skin? Use walnuts. Eating one ounce of walnuts three days per week can help trap in moisture and keep your skin feeling, supple, soft and smooth. Why? Because walnuts are full of omega-3 fatty acides which help to revitalize the protective lipid layer of your skin.
